They'd probably do it at Ray Jay, I'd imagine. I can't think of an instance where they originated 10 miles from the stadium on Gameday.

They did Pitt's in the parking lot a few years ago. Miami too.

Wasn't this right before they took it back to Bristol, CT with them?

They found the Rocky head during halftime of the game, so Rocky appeared in the second half.

I have serious doubts about GameDay coming unless both USF and Miami win out. Even then, ESPN would have to pass on USC@Oregon and Oklahoma@Baylor.

How far in advance do the GameDay execs decide on the Saturday location?

If they do it on campus, it will be on the green-way (the field running west of MLK plaza).  Its the only place open enough to have a set and a crowd behind it, while still showing it to be on-campus. There's just not enough room actually at MLK plaza.  I do hope that it is on-campus rather than at RJS, because it will give us a chance to show off the campus to the nation.

dude, this comment just gave me chills. Imagine tail-gating next to the Marshall Center with the GameDay crew set up on the MLK plaza in front of the water bulls. Chills. This is all assuming an OCS. I'll dream about this tonight.

that wasn't the rocky head we had in 2003

theonly other game day we've kinda been a part of that I know about (and was there too) was Army game at Westpoint in 2003-- they didn't even bother putting our helmet on the stage-- just Army stuff-- he had our rocky head-- didn't wear it (picked Army)-- and then didn't give it back to us until halftime of the game

it rained like hell and as I approached the set-- had to hear Chris Fowler bemoan how we were just a little lowly commuter school

I hate that dude. They shut the thing down a little early because of lightning -- it was terrible and not a lot of people there either )cuz of all the rain)

he never said anything about college gameday being this year @ usf. maybe he's working on it for the future? as in 1-2 years?
