successful businesses put their customers first.

USF is not putting it's season ticket holders and donors first when they schedule crappy OOC opponents and Wednesday night games.

In the long run it will cost them those customers but hey at least we get a hundred grand and a 1 rating share for our trouble.

then teach them a lesson big boy, don't go, don't give, see what happens.

I'm glad you're rooting for our program to go in the crapper.

If our program goes into the crapper because we played Wednesday night games, it never had a chance to begin with ....

you really think the right way to build a college football program is to play on wednesdays??

it's like a minister saying that holding services on  tuesdays at 11 am instead of  sundays at 11 am should have no effect on how he builds his congregation.

More money to be made on ESPN than in the stands.

It *****, but I can deal with it if its like once every 4 years.

and that goes back to what I'm saying. USF is treating their donors and season ticket holders like crap. they can't expect to grow them by playing on wednesdays. they are more worried about the short term dollar gain and less about the long term season ticket holder base.

Anyone else on this board miffed about this?

Not at all. The game was scheduled on this night when the schedule came out back in the beginning of the year.

the tailgating side of me misses the days when we could pencil in a Saturday 7pm kickoff for every home game. I really wish we would limit these weekday games to 1 per season.

I think when and where you play has a miniscule effect on building a program ...

it's like a minister saying that holding services on  tuesdays at 11 am instead of  sundays at 11 am should have no effect on how he builds his congregation.

But what if God told him to hold his services then ....

Wednesday, Thursdays who cares.  Good national exposure.

FSU can't play home weeknight games because Doak Cambell Stadium has classes held in it during the week.

You conveniently ignored the rest of his post ..... You'd still whine if it was once every 4 years or so?

really?? so if we played all our games on wednesdays at 11 am, you think that wouldn't effect attendance and eventually growth of our program.

that's absurd.

then his church would be out of business.

that has nothing to do with it. I doubt they have class on friday nights. is it the same for UF alabama and all the others that don't play weekday games.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

“In my mind, I’m kind of like, ‘OK, excuses over'. We know what we need to do. We’ve got the right team together, and now we move forward, and we’ll evaluate and be accountable to each other, including myself, from this point forward.”

    Michael Kelly
