The guys really are playing smart football when it comes to penalties. Great job by the coaching staff establishing the discipline we have been needing the past few years.weren't our 1st 2 kick returns both have holding penalties too?I believe the opening kickoff had a penalty and I think the second was another PI, I'm not sure though. We seemed like a much more disciplined team this week.BTW whats the least amount of penalties and penalty yards USF has had in a game?2 for 15 yds in the 38-37 DOT win at ECU in 2003 (1st CUSA season)

We seemed like a much more disciplined team this week.Thru 7 games USF has averaged 5.29 penalties for 40.43 yards per game. The best ever season since USF went to I-A play was last year at 7.25 penalties for 60.08 yards per game. The opponents this year have 7.43 for 62.43 yards and last year had 5.75 for 50.58 yards which was the best our opponents have had since USF went to I-A play. I mentioned it to my fiancee during the game too, how Cincy had all these penalties piling up. It was nice to see the opponent playing stupid for once.
