In hindsight, it was a bad call for Holtz before the half to allow BJ to pass, but at some point, you have to put SOME kind of faith in your QB to at least TRY to throw the ball (i dunno, maybe because its a QB's primary job to PASS).

Stupidest defense of Holtz yet ......That point is not when you're backed up inside your own ******* 15 yard line, with less than a minute to go in a half where you've been totally outplayed but are only down by one score!!

this is a no-brainer . . . we are 1/2 dimensional . . . if we had a stronger running game we would be one dimensional.  gb!

when i said "at some point" i didnt mean at that time of the game.  I agree with skip trying to get BJ to throw more, just don't agree with doing it at that time.

The ball may have moved, but I tell you good sir, there was no "system".

There was a system, it's called playground football.

If you look at last year...

Grothe Won the first 3 games

BJ won 5 Games....personally he only truly won 4 games....our O-Line and Mike ford won the bowl game.......

So I'm not sure where anyone can say BJ/our O was better under CJL......

Because he had Sterling Griffin, Carlton Mitchell, AJ Love, and Dontavia Bogan to bail him out. ATM we only have one of those guys on the field making plays. No quality WR's on the field = bad passing game and an even worse with BJ at the helm.

What happened with Sterling Griffin? I thought he was back from injury since the game against Syracuse. He wasn't reported on the injury list and didn't hear his name during games.

Bj is adapting to a new system and struggling

with only one real WR (Bogan)

last year he had carlton mitchell, bogan, griffin, aj love

Lack of good running game, right now just average.

and O-line isn't handling blitzes well at all.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
