Hypothetical: 2009 Season Results

We finished 7 - 5 last season. In your opinion, if Holtz and his new assistants had been here last season, how would we have finished the season?

Close call, but this is the kind of thread that turns into Leavitt vs Holtz, which then leads to just Leavitt.  It has been well behaved so far, though.  Thanks to everyone for that.

So, then don't move it.  It is about the last year's team and if our new playbook and training approach being used this year would have helped us win a few more.

If by well-behaved, you mean it hasn't been as bad as it could have been, I agree .... There were signs, though .... and it had already turned to just Leavitt/staff. Me and Dubya like our preemptive strikes.  ;)

Holtz and his new staff haven't coached one game at USF yet ... We haven't seen a new playbook. There was no way to have an informed conversation about this, NOW, other than bash the previous staff's results.

After the season's over, with something to go on, it may be interesting to look back and compare ...

Rizman, it isn't about spin.  It's about making judgements.  As Trip noted, it has been well-behaved by sub-board standards.  Not so well behaved by the standards we want to keep on the main board.  The main board is mostaly about the present.  The looking back stuff simply belongs elsewhere.

I really don't understand why people get upset when we move stuff from one board to the other.  There are lots of people logging in these days, and many different conversations.  We simply can't keep everything on one board.  It would be impossible to follow a conversation because topics would keep rolling to the second and third page.  By having multiple boards, people can dive into the areas they want to converse and be able to find threads later in the day, the next day, etc.  It allows people to follow a thread for two or three days.

The main board has always been for current and near future conversation about USF athletics.  There is a board for almost every other main topic of conversation.  We are just trying to keep things tidy, and keep conversations civil.

the other staff(last season) was a group of bad coaches.

we had a good headcoach with a bunch of regulars whom are now either unemployed or working at north texas
