Hate to say this:  UCF is presently USF's only true rival.  We despise them so much, we won't even play them in football!

No true rival.  Semi rivals include (in order of being closest to a true rival) are: 1) WVU, 2) Rutgers, 3) UofL 4) UC, 5) UCF 6) Miami.  I put Miami slightly behind UCF because we have never beaten them, and we've played them less than UCF.  They could move up if we beat them.

With as many times we play them I think Western Kentucky and Charleston Southern are our rivals.

This year USF football will face 12 rivals... Stony Brook, Florida, WKU, FAU, Syracuse, West Virginia, Cincinnati, Rutgers, Louisville, Pitt, Miami, and UConn.

don't forget alabama for the national championship  ::)

I agree... UCiF is our only true rival right now... WV is a one sided rivalry, most WV fans I have spoke with don't consider it a rivalry game.

That's funny because most USF fans I have spoke with don't consider UCF a rivalry, either ....  ;)

Bottom line, with a true rivalry, there is no discussion about it maybe being a rivalry. Everybody is on the same page about it.

When you play a game annually called the "Backyard Brawl" it would be hard to envision WV thinking of USF as a rivalry.

I agree with both post. Not just in sports but in everything we just plain hate each other! The closet thing that felt like a rival games were the ones we played against them. But other than that I can't stand them it takes a lot of will power to not yell at one of those idiots when I see a ucif license tag or sticker or anything!!
