Hilarious.  It's not true, but whatever.  Hopefully the new coach is announced before Carnes' visit to USF this weekend.

Even if it wasnt the firing of CJL, it was the allegations against CJL that definitely got in his mind.

Brion Carnes never envisioned he would have to worry about recruiting again after making an early verbal commitment to the South Florida Bulls in June. However, the stunning firing of former head coach Jim Leavitt changed those plans and now Carnes has opened his recruitment. He plans to visit Nebraska, Western Kentucky, and possibly Cincinnati. FV spoke with Carnes earlier tonight to talk about his visits, decision, and adjusting to college life.

If he wants to be a "hero" and be one play away from being the starting QB in a BCS conference, he needs to stick to his verbal.  Regardless if CJL is here or not, if he can play QB, there's not many situations better than coming here right now.  Plus, Tampa is heads and shoulders a better place to live than any of those listed.

I don't think Landi will be moved back to QB regardless.  He's a better WR in my opinion.  We are thin at QB though.  If Carnes doesn't come, we better have a plan B.

My guess would be CJ Bennett

Canres is saying he is excited to meet Holtz during his official visit this weekend. I would not count him out now.
