Sorry if this was already brought up.  But WVU is 88th against the pass this season!  I don't care if BJ is an INT machine!!!  So was Grothe!!  We need to exploit this 3-3-5 and let our best players on the field make plays.

If BJ only attempts 8 passes, Chico needs to get the Jim Zorn treatment

Canales is weak anyways...

i was a proponent of going outside of the program to get our OC. Our system is still the same as always... nothing new in the playbook at all.

lol

I just posted the very same thing in this thread:

I figured.  But it's true.  BJ has shown that he can win games by himself.

I was a big proponent of that as well.  Even provided some good lower level OC's that we could have pursued.

I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, considering he had to start a (very talented) freshman.

Two things are true every year - USF has the worst offensive coordinator and the best back-up QB (wasn't there a Landi thread going around a while back?)

The fact we run through a coordinator every year or so tells me it's not just us that think that way.

We need to just hire a young guy who knows how to run a good offensive gameplan and use his skill players to an advantage over the defense. USF needs our own version of Josh McDaniels.

this is the same **** as Pitt...

they were something like 23rd against the run and 72nd against the pass going into our game, and Chico throws the ball 8 times.

even before BJ's first pick, we weren't passing the ball.

the fact of the matter is we have to let BJ loose.  we MUST use his arm.  we MUST let him play his game.

if we pull back on him now for fear of INTs [his ratio is no worse than Grothe's], the kid will regress and this season will be ENTIRELY lost because we will have deprived BJ of this learning experience.

win or lose, we need to let BJ continue to learn.
