See Greg's blog.

Leavitt didn't seem too pissed about the whole deal.

Why does CJL not have his own space with no pass required?

Is he serious, a ticket for touching the white line?

I'm sure he has a reserved space -- and probably doesn't pay for it out of his pocket -- but everyone from Dr. Genshaft on down has to have a parking pass.  And yes, touching the white lines is a ticketable offense on campus.

Wow, they seem to have gotten worse since I graduated in 2002.  I got a parking ticket one time for parking in the grass near the Sun Dome because they decided it was cool to schedule a Benny Hinn meeting at the Sun Dome during the busiest time of the semester.

Thus there was no parking anywhere so I parked on the grass with some other people.  Sure enough, got a ticket for it.  Well,  I fought the ticket and got it over turned.  I have a feeling, if I tried contesting that same ticket today I would lose.

Woody will be OK.  Seems like Leavitt considered it, although a dumb thing to do, a minor offense overall.  I bet Leavitt will be asking Woody for some pointers on removing those boots.   ;D

I was ticketed at USF for backing into a parking place...I didn't know the rule was "head first."

For everyone who knows all about the lovely parking experience at USF, they know about having to ask "Hey are you leaving?"  or  "Do you want a ride to your car?"

I was waiting like normal one time outside of engineer 2 building (on alumni drive side) with my blinker on and the old, fat guy who always seemed the meanest came up and threatened to ticket me for sitting still.  His quote was, "you can't sit here... according to the university, if you're sitting still then you're parked"

So being my nice a-hole self, I started flipping out on the guy and kept telling him to get everyone at the stop light.  Yada-yada-yada, the person I was waiting for pulled out and then I parked.

I am not a 100% sure, but I believe you can back into spots aslong as they are not angled. So if its a straight spot back in/ head first is acceptable, while angled parking spots backing in is ticketable.

Better check that Paul, the spot I pulled into was not angled.  Finally, on the ticket I did receive I never paid it.  If a boot is ever put on my car, I'll probably do more time than W. George, seeing that I've already had a number of encounters with police that don't like me.

What a slow news day...thankfully we have car boots to talk about..

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
