Herbstreit Snubs USF

On the "Cold Hard Facts" segment of SportsCenter tonight, Herbsreit didn't even give an honorable mention to the question of who will contend in the Big East this upcoming season.

Mentioned were WVU (of course), Louisville (of course), and Rutgers (of course).

That being said, there is nothing like proving it on the field.  This time next year, let's hope Herbsreit is talking about USF repeating as Big East champs.

Quite honestly, I hope we get completely overlooked by everyone this presason.  I want to be the surprise story in NCAA football this year.  this will be the last year we'll be able to go into a season under rated.

Herbstreit also raged about Florida being in the national title game over Michigan only to have the Florida whip Ohio State.

He isn't nearly as smart as people think.

He is the Billy Packer of College Football.

that may be overstating it a bit, but not by much

At gameday in arkansas he said mcfadden was the best rb in the nation. Next week in wv he said slaton was the best rb in the nation.  ::) We saw what ohio state and michigan did in their bowl games.  ;D

I think Herbie is the most unbiased commentator out there.  He is no Billy Packer.  Just because he didn't include USF doesn't make him a bad guy.

Not bad, just ignorant.

We still have to earn it on the field.

Sure we beat WVU and UL. The next step to getting noteriety will be to beat both those teams again in the same year and not stub our toe against teams like  Cincy or UCONN.

All that matters is that USF will be in the hunt, and if we takle advantage of our opportunities next year we will become next year's media darlings.
