Six teams get in, Cuse left out. I said it when the 16 team league was formed there is no way it's going to last.

I don't think that you can take that as the reason why Syracuse didn't make it in. 6 teams is still a good number to make it in.

The Big East will be stronger than ever. There is no one dominant basketball conference. SEC is way overrated as is the ACC. Forget the Big 12. The one year and on to the NBA rule is destroying college basketball.

The Big East was down a little since it was so young. A couple of years from now, it'll be the strongest conference again.

6 of 16? Thats not good at all when you have 8 traditional powers + some other good teams.

I don't doubt the strength of the conference, what I do doubt is Traditional Powers letting themselves stay on the ledge when going 10-6 (as Cuse did) in conference.

A school like Cuse depends on basketball to support their athletic department, missing the tournament is probably pissing a few people off...

Joe, go ask Kansas State about not getting selected. They had bye on the Big 12 Tournament. Just saying that every year there are good teams that do not make the Tournament, even a "traditional power" like Syracuse.

Mark my words, a Big East team will win the National Championship this year, I predict Pitt and Georgetown will both make the Final Four.

By the way, the Big East had the 2nd most teams in the dance, just behind the ACC and Big Ten with 7 a piece there

The Big East got 8 or 9 last year right?  I think as a conference the Big East will be fine.  Syracuse was a shock though.

Big East got 8 last year  and there is no way Stanford should go over Syracuse.

Getting 6 teams in is NOT good for the Big east and will put pressure on the league to stay at 16
