I see it as 6 of 12 BE teams making it.

The 4 that were left out of the BE tournament don't even count.

Should SU be upset that they didn't make it? Sure, but not because the conference is too big.

K State should be mad.... REDUCE THE BIG 12...  ::) c'mon

To expect 8 every year is not realistic.

How many BE teams were going before the expansion?

Joe, go ask Kansas State about not getting selected. They had bye on the Big 12 Tournament. Just saying that every year there are good teams that do not make the Tournament, even a "traditional power" like Syracuse.

That is not what I'm saying. What I am saying is that this conference is loaded with power teams, naturally a few are gonna get left out. However, when those schools go 10-6 and get left out of the most important athletic event to their fans people are going to start to question the makeup of the Big East.

Has nothing to do with the size. Has more to do with the power.

Once again, my arguement has nothing to do with size and numbers. The makeup of this conference is insanely hard.

talk to the SEC about hardness when it comes to football, Big East is the SEC (football) of college basketball

if it is split up in any way, football schools go into a newly named conference and remain in the BCS equation, non-football schools remain as the Big East.

You're right... SU is going to want out.

I know... I'm crazy.

IF (kind of like UCiF) that were to happen... I think it will be the football schools that keep the name.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
