I don't know much about this award or Nicholas for that matter... did he have no shot at this at all? Looking at past winners, they all are pretty much in the top 25.

He'd have to play 1 and 1/2 times better than any other LB in the current grouping.  Face it, USF won't get the national attention like a Ohio State or Texas player.  Just facts.

More like "if he really were one of the 10 best linebackers in the country, he'd be playing at Ohio State or Texas." If USF did land a player worthy of consideration for this award, than he, as has been pointed out, would not be shut down by *Kansas.* Nicholas is good. He's **** good. But he's not the best linebacker in the country. Get over it.

I thought Snake had something like 10 or 15 tackles in Lawrence??  He had zero against UCF.
