not to be negative but football program is simply not being marketed to the community

and marketing should start when season ends

part of it is that leavitt is not media savy or friendly

i will spare everyone and  not rehash  problems with marketing

14-15 since 2004 is clearly one of the problems

Seriously...what do you think could be done that's not being done?

BTW: Opening practices to the public is not an option. If you don't

        have an interest in attending games - you're certainly not going

        to be swayed by the opportunity to drive over to Fowler Ave on

        a weekday and watch some guys run drills and sprints. Seriously,

        unless you're really into USF football...watching a practice is about

        as exciting as watching paint dry.

I think marketing is doing a pretty good job marketing the games to the community....billboard with the Beef Studs (even though it's TBT...still great exposure), tv and radio commercials, newspaper advertisements...what else is there?

what is our ave so far?

28,992 for this season

USF's best season avg was 38,865 for last season.

USF's worst season avg was 25,053 in USF's 3rd season (I-AA)

you can poo poo all my suggestions

but one only needs to see lack of interest from community to see that usf is poorly marketed

the last 2 tv games had empty seats between 40 yardlines

there is a problem so keep your head in the sand

usf needs to cultivte interest

1.put all games on live tv

2.make an effort to connect with young families and pop warner set.

  a.open practices

   b.have local kids be ball boys

3.reach out to community

4.give tickets to pop warner crowd

5.create a more friendly atmosphere around program

6.with grothe usf has a chance to put an excitingproduct on field something they didnt have last5 years

7.spice it up a bit. hire jen or girls like her.SEX SELLS BUT YOU CANT OVER DO IT

usf should have owned community by now by leavitt's standoffish approach isnt attendance friendly

if THIS WERE TRUE YOU WOULDNT HAVE SO MANY EMPTY  ROWS OF SEATS BETWEEN THE 40'S

What really Pi$$es me off is all of the quote-unquote "Fans" who leave the game early...  I'm sorry, But all of you who whine about why their aint' no "BIG 4" in the state of Florida...    You just seen it first handed...   BULLS FANS AINT' NOTHING BUT CHUMPS.  And believe you me I hate to say it...   I try with all I have to believe in what we got, but Iwhen I see the student section pour out of Ray-J like somebody pulled a fire alarm....   It's just sad.

Yeah...it looked bad on TV most of the game...seemed like way less than last week against RU...not the few thousand that the att figures show.

However, towards the end of the game NO one was there....

How pathetic especially when our team always heads over to the sidelines after a victory to celebrate with fans.

What does this say to our team??
