Students at the Game

I can't believe how good the student turnout was for a IAA game... we now have the fever! and it is spreading!   WTG Students!

Congrats again to the students - it was awesome.  You guys seemed much more organized as the whole **** section was in tune with the same cheers and with HOT.  Hopefully a lot of freshman attending their first game and they'll be back after that experience.  BTW, how did the SG UCF tickets sell?

We have tickets way at the other end of the stadium and I was flabbergasted at the amount of students in the student section.  I haven't attended too many games, but I know I have never seen it like that.  There is not enough room for them now.  If it weren't for the students at this game, the attendance numbers would have been embarassing.  Looks like between Grothe, the huge student crowd, and all the little bulls kids I saw dressed up in fan gear we are looking at a big time future for a big time program.  I am proud to be part of it.

Oh yeah, just one more thing -- TAKE THAT RAP CRAP OFF OF THE P.A. AND LET THE HOT PLAY!!!

And the good thing..hoepfully, hopefully, hopefully...is that when these students graduate, they become season ticket holders and the enthusiasm continues to grow for generations to come. All of the current alumni who don't hold season tickets are obviously a lost cause, and it's these enthusiastic students - soon to be alumni - who will push the program forward.

It was a great turnout by the students. Could be...just could be...Bulls Games will be the 'in place' to  be on Saturday nights down the road.

the HOT was awesome!

me and my buddies tailgated since about 2:30, went into the stadium at like 5:45 and sat at the fourth row up, the student section was incredible!

We all did the S O U T H F L O R I D A chant, it was freakin sweet

Still think they should be placed in both endzones!

Agreed, it's not really a home field advantage when one endzone of seats is packed with students and the other is as quiet as a library.

Heck, we were singing (screaming) the fight song a capella as the game ended in the southwest corner of the endzone.

The cheerleaders even looked up to see who the hell was singing the fight song without being prompted!

I was floored by the student turnout especially considering we were playing a AA team.

Also have to admit the HOT was awesome! Frankly I never noticed much improvement last year like everyone else but wow they were louder, more active and I think even mixed in a few new pieces during the game. This was really the first time I left the game actually talking about how great the band did. Good job to both the students and HOT!
