  1. Minus the worst helmets in the history of college football, this was our best look. These helmets are acceptable: If you wanted to think outside the box, instead of the embarrassingly terrible green matte........thing........that they wore this year, something along the lines of these concepts may be something to think about: http://www.charlessollarsconcepts.com/usf-university-of-southern-florida-concept-helmets/
  2. +10000000000000000 -100000000000000000000000000000000
  3. The past few years, we've been paying multiple coaches/administators who are no longer apart of USF Athletics. How many are we still paying, and for how much longer? It's going to be interesting to see how Harlan redistributes the "new" money he'll have to spend in the budget once the slate has been cleared.
  4. Agreed. They had the best show on local sports radio, for sure. The station had such promise when it was formed........another missed opportunity for USF athletics(this time, not of it's own doing, but still).
  5. Ah yes, the good ol' days of 8 wins and a 4-3 conference record. You make a good point, we were 2-time, tied for 3rd in the Big East conference champions.
  6. Remember how terrible the Memphis football program was? Their current coach is 1 year ahead of Taggart in the rebuilding process. His records in years 1 and 2 were terrible, and in year 3(this season), he started 3-3 and then won 6 straight. His players bought in, and "got it." It takes awhile to change the culture. Let's reevaluate after year 3.
  7. Reading between the lines.... http://www.usforacle.com/news/view.php/850939/Unlikely-duo-put-East-Carolina-in-nation Coach Ruffin McNeill took over the program when former coach Skip Holtz left for USF, and has since been able to build the program up. “When coach Ruffin got here five years ago, it was a different atmosphere,†Carden said. “It took him a while to create that family atmosphere and get the guys he wanted and he’s really built this program up. We have so much depth at receiver and running back and O-line that have allowed us to be able to do all of these things since I’ve been here.â€
  8. Coach T told him he was going to play that week, and he did. How much his role increases, we'll see, but he's not redshirting.
  9. At some point, our fanbase needs to realize that college football is played on Saturday afternoons, and it's time to get used to it. 7pm was nice before we were on TV every week. Remember how much it sucked not being able to watch at home? Complaining about Sat afternoon games is incredibly pompous. The only games on Sat night are the national tv games......and the ones no one cares about.
  10. On. The ridiculous expectations of this fanbase sicken me. The cupboard was beyond bare(now made obvious by 50% of the 2-deep being Fr and So) when he got here. Constantly changing coaches every 3rd year makes it impossible to build something. Coach T is building something.
  11. He ruins every Lightning game.......and now every Bulls game. Luckily, we have season tickets to both. [head.desk.] (Oh, and the band announcer guy can go to hell, too)
  12. I already have to put up with that guy ruining 41 nights of my life at Lightning games, and now he's invading my Saturdays in the fall. GO AWAYYYY *shakes fist*
  13. Agreed. I don't understand the trend of "let's make our team completely unrecognizable to anyone"........and terrible, too.
  14. Should never see the light of day. After one game, Nole fans went crazy and the team is changing helmet color, facemask color, AND uniform design. Precedence has been set. http://www.seminoles.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=32900&ATCLID=209636597
  15. Also, I like how the white uses the "bUlls" wordmark.
  16. Sharp. Why does the gold alt lack the shoulder "thingies"?
  17. HAHAHA https://www.facebook.com/AmericanAthleticConferencesFans/posts/687934307921494?comment_id=687961461252112&ref=notif&notif_t=like
  18. Grothe's thread is a few pages long, but THIS guy only gets 6 or 7 replies?! Andre Hall was the best offensive player USF has ever had, this side of Marquel Blackwell, in my opinion.
  19. I'm starting to think this as well. Some logos/brands can stand the test of time. Ours already looks dated, 10 years in.
  20. It all goes back to 2007. The best and worst thing to happen to the program. JUST when we gained the casual fan, the casual fan was lost, and it's going to be twice as hard to get them back. 15k diehard will show up to the games, another 10k are waiting for a flicker of hope, and the rest are all bandwagoners. Until a sustained 3-5 year run of legitimate success, the bandwagon will continue to fall back to their old Big 3 fandom, when the going gets tough. (see: Rays fanbase for the blueprint)
  21. How so? Our original gold wasn't............gold. And both helmets are not only terrible, but embarrassing. (This post was lacking without my expert opinion.)
  22. Great moments, yes. A knack for the dramatic, yes. But the best, I'm not so sure. A lot of his big plays were as a result of a bad decision on the play before. (See: running around behind the line of scrimmage, not throwing the ball away, and taking a 9 yard loss.) He was the most popular, at the most popular time in the program's history, but he wasn't the best.
