Not too many big schools wanna come in play a tough road game and help us fill the stadium without some form of large payment or a 2 for 1...We need games like this. The big issue is payout to the visiting team. USF can only pay up to a certain amount. Not sure of the exact dollar figure. These D-IAA teams are cheap to bring in, and help complete the new 12 game schedule. How can USF make more revenue to bring in better teams? Negotiate a better staduim deal with the Bucs - [move]not going to happen with the Greedy Glazers >[/move] Build an on campus stadium Let the discussion begin once again on the pros and cons of an on campus stadium

Football is a revenue sport, and two I-A teams that trade I-AA opponents to face each other lose that much in home game revenue (well, one of them does, at least). Now, if all I-A matchups were home-and-home guarantees, that'd be one thing. But they're not. And sometimes, even when they are, they get canceled (see Ohio canceling its home game vs. Virginia Tech to pick up an away game at Missouri). Remember when we were IAA? Remember how we enjoyed those games against real college teams? There's way too much at risk - bowl wise - to completely blow off IAA games. There's not a big, long line of teams waiting to swing by RayJ and play the Bulls. Here's the bottom 25 IA schools: 94 Ohio (4-7) 95 Marshall (4-7) 96 Air Force (4-7) 97 Illinois (2-9) 98 Arkansas St (6-6) 99 Mississippi (3-8 )100 Eastern Mich (4-7)101 Louisiana Mnro (5-6)102 Washington (2-9)103 Florida Intl (5-6)104 Middle Tenn St (4-7)105 Troy (4-7)106 Duke (1-10)107 Utah St (3-8 )108 Syracuse (1-10)109 Nevada Las Vgs (2-9)110 Tulane (2-9)111 San Jose St (3-8 )112 Rice (1-10)113 Temple (0-11)114 North Texas (2-9)115 Florida Atl (2-9)116 Idaho (2-9)117 Buffalo (1-10)118 Kent St (1-10)119 New Mexico St (0-12)Here's the top 25 IAA:1. Appalachian State (25)12-32. Northern Iowa 11-43. Furman 11-34. Texas State 11-35. New Hampshire 11-26. Cal Poly 9-47. Southern Illinois 9-48. Richmond 9-49. Georgia Southern 8-410. Hampton 11-111. Montana 8-412. Grambling 11-113. Eastern Washington 7-514. Youngstown State 8-315. Eastern Illinois 9-316. Nicholls State 6-417. Montana State 7-418. Brown 9-119. South Carolina State 9-220. Lafayette 8-421. Massachusetts 7-422. Colgate 8-423. Coastal Carolina 9-224. Illinois State 7-425. Lehigh 8-3...I can see a couple of IAA games I wouldn't mind. It ain't like they're going away any time soon. But I don't quite get this:Therefore, the game that makes sense is … South Florida at NC State (In case you didn’t get enough of the 2005 Champs Sports Bowl.)2K5 Champs Sports Bowl was Clemson over Colorado. Was that a misprint? Did he mean "Meineke Car Care"?
Guest Sprtsfn627
Keep in mind that in 2004, McNeese State beat FIU 30-27. One could certainly argue that the 1AA team is not the weakest team on the schedule. For the most part, playing a lower 1A or an upper 1AA school are one and the same. They're a warmup for the conference schedule to come. Not teams to overlook, but certainly good games to start the season off with.

Guest bullistic930
Can you blame teams for not wanting to come here?Doesnt USF have one of the best home win records in D1A ball?
