Yes, I much prefer the player we picked up from Cincy

He fits what we needed and had similar stats playing part time to the superstar FAU pulled from Louisville did. Difference is Reynolds came off the bench at a #37 NET ranked program. The other guy came off the bench at the #217 ranked team, that would have been good enough for 13th place in the AAC ...

They lose an NBA-caliber player and add a guy that averaged 4 points per game on an awful Louisville team (8-24) last year and you think this is an upgrade? Really?

Not only did they lose an NBA-caliber player, but I would say that they lost at least 2 NBA-caliber players in Goldin and Davis.

I couldn't agree more.  It was a bad example.  I would argue that Memphis has improved (on paper) and UAB will be a handful, but I think USF has done very well.  The other teams in the conference have mostly lost their top players to the portal without replacing them.

Memphis will be the team to beat unless they show other wise specially if David jones returns.Memphis is loaded currently rank 4th in the transfer portal and might pick up one  of the best high school centers in the nation, if they don’t make the NCAA Tournament next year Penny might be gone.

Even though UAB won the AAC tournament they will be picked 2nd, we could have easily beat UAB last season if we had a true big man.How is UAB keeping the team together? They have NIL money or is the coach just that good of sales man?

Temple and Wichita State are still two storied teams in the AAC, and probably behind Memphis the two " best" programs left.

i expect them to be relevant again soon.

I remember Temple with Coach Chaney.  He was such a fiery coach and then sent in his 15th man into a game to foul/punish an opposing player and start a fight.  He was a legend.  I thought Aaron McKie was a good hire for Temple but it didn't pan out.  There is serious talent in Philly but they just haven't recaptured the magic of the past.
