In Lunardi's latest bracketology, all the AP ranked teams have a seed no worse than 7, except for our Bulls as an 11 seed. NO RESPECT! Even FAU is seeded higher than us.

Dayton, ranked 25, has a 7 seed. They just lost to Loyola, whom we beat. They lost to 17-11 George Mason, who has lost to Loyola and Charlotte, both of whom we've beaten. They lost to 19-10 VCU, who has lost to Memphis, whom we beat. They lost to Richmond, who has lost to Wichita State and Northern Iowa, both of whom we beat. They also have no Top 25 wins.

Net rankings and Lunardi's rankings are a joke!

In this current bracketology, he has us against an unranked 18-11 and 6th seed in Wisconsin. Of those 11 losses, 7 were to unranked teams. Four of the losses came consecutively, where 3 of the teams were unranked. They include 15-14 Rutgers and 8-22 Michigan. Wisconsin is 2-7 in there last 9 games, which includes the 4-game losing streak. In addition, 2 of the other losses were to 18-12 Iowa and 16-13 Indiana.

What are you smoking Lunardi? You consider a team that has lost 7 of their last 9 games, where 4 losses came against teams with a combined record of 57-61, one of the best 24 teams in the country? You must be MAD!

I'm not here to argue at all everything you said is correct, that is the problem with using predictive metrics to select and seed teams.  The committe should be watching and viewing teams play, not go based on some numbers.  Unfortunatley someone could use your same analysis against us...if they want to use the Maine, Hofsta, and CMU games we wouldn't look that good either.  They are skewed metrics and it really needs to be improved.  Would be a crime if USF gets left out of the dance this year

To a certain extent, yes, they can use the same metric against us. Not when it comes to what you have done lately. Not when it comes to losing 4 of the last 7 games against teams with a losing record. I actually checked to see what the combined record of CM, Hofstra, Maine, and UMass is. They are a combined 68-51.

I know you can argue that the teams Wisconsin lost to have a better strength of schedule. But, come on, early season losses to teams that are now 68-51 to late season losses to teams that are now 57-61? And for him to have them as a 6 seed is a joke; he is basically saying they are a top 24 team. There is no way in Hades a team that has lost 7 of their last 9 games, 5 of which are to unranked teams, is a top 24 team. No Way!

Not arguing that we shouldn't be higher but I still see the 11 seed, and number 24 ranking as receiving a  considerable amount of respect.

If i understand seeding correctly there are 4 brackets, 16 teams each , plus 4 teams playing in a first round, so there would be 20-24 teams making the tournament seeded below us? I would take that in a heartbeat right now.

Not so loud -- we want an easier schedule in the tournament...

#16 Bama blowout to Florida last night should be in play with their terrible record. Two of the ranked teams they beat earlier in season have beaten them since.

Beat Tulsa and we should go ahead of:

21 SDSU

20 BYU if they lose to Iowa State

22 Utah State if they lose to SJSU

Likely not to move ahead but should

16 Bama lost bad to UF

17  South Carolina lost to Tennessee

#20 BYU lost
#21 SDSU lost
#22 Utah State won
#23 Saint Mary's hasn't played since their loss to Gonzaga before rankings came out.
#25 Dayton won

Thursday Game: #18 Washington State at home vs. unranked Washington.

UF will be back in the Top 25 after beating #16. They were #27 in AP and #25 in Coaches Poll prior.

We may move to #23.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
