Too bad tv contracts and power conference invites are primarily based on football. So he didn't bring the aac any closer to any power conference by inviting a crappy football program.

Oh wow! I hadn't seen this. Great news. He had no vision for the AAC. The idea of going after schools with very little football success, but located in big metropolitan areas was wrongheaded from the beginning. Hopefully when it comes time to add more schools to the AAC  this time around they will look at programs who can bring more to the table. Teams that can be ranked in the top 25, get big wins against power 5 schools, win bowl games, and bring our strength of schedule up. Mountain West teams, Marshall, Liberty, Toledo, Appalachian State, ... should be looked at.

FAU, UAB ,and UTSA were good adds though.

Not going to happen moving forward lol. FAU is a great addition to the AAC as they are going to need a Florida school once USF bolts to the ACC…..
