Baseline assumption is that we need to win games, so the stadium question is a one factor analysis.

There will be no sole determining factor, but once it is completed/finished I believe it makes a big difference. Especially now with first round of playoff games being held on campus. Commuting to RJ to play a "home" game in a stadium that could be our opponents' colors would not have been a good look. One of the biggest things is the investment and dedication to athletics. The stadium shows that our admin is dedicated to supporting athletics and will be looked upon as a stronger potential conference mate in the eyes of many institutions. That's the pot I am stirring. Is having this or any OCS improving our standing or did it need to be X times more luxurious? It's worth noting that the Mickey school had a whole chain link fence thing and are suddenly rolling in TV revenue. Again winning is important and we need to do that. Not factoring winning. The hope is its not too late for us. UCF would not be in the Big 12 without their stadium. We needed this.

Until we show some sustained success, there's nothing really separating us from the rest of the kids table.

Prior to 2018 we had far greater success against tougher brand name teams that should have spurred those in charge to get it underway. We were a national story in many parts and ways. Unfortunately, we did nothing then and nothing in 2018. You can count more than one miss. Opportunity is not omnipresent. We'd better make good on this one.

Moves should have been in place earlier, but now would be a good time to swing for the fences. Edited December 5, 2023 by Rocky Style
