How many times is someone gonna beat this dead horse

We underinvested in Athletics

They passed us

We're changing that

There couldn't be a more stale, unoriginal take on the state of UCF/USF than this.

I'm not saying he is. I'm saying he is saying the same thing we have all said for years. It's just lazy.

As Michael Scott once said to Dwight - "have a thought. Have an original thought."

You'd think the man behind USF would have an original thought on the matter but I guess not.

I mean, the difference is the ceiling of the two programs. UCF's ceiling is playing for national championships and national relevance. With the lsat round of realignment, the sentiment is that we could be permanently relegated to a novelty product. Now we can work to be the best novelty product out there, but unless we get into a conference with some real money quickly, our ceiling will remain pretty low.

Everyone here is correct and we know that.

I guess my point is that of all people it plain sucks to hear it from him...

The school did fire him and left on bitter terms so I suppose it shouldn't be too surprising. Buuuut it is to me 😢

It’s 13.5 years later, we’re escaping Temple’s comeback.  It might not be just bitterness.

If a company I busted my ass for fired me I'd probably troll them too. Or want to.

That's what this is. There is literally no reason to drag USF into context. Just say wow great game and environment.

It's lazy at best, a troll at worst. I was pro honoring CJL once but more and more I'm neutral. We can appreciate what he did when he did it while recognizing we have all just moved on and let him take his jabs while we keep climbing.
