Cmon... it's a bye week. What else are we supposed to do to fill the void?

Aren't tinkling and voiding kind of the same?

Does anyone else think we see some new tinkles on either side of the ball? This is a much needed bye before a game against one of the better teams in the AAC.

I am hoping CAG really takes this time to make some changes on the offensive side of the ball and TO can come up with a good plan on defense.

Exactly what new twrinkles would you like to see?  Why would he change his offense over the bye week?  Do you mean play some different players?

He needs to continue to expand the playbook. We started to see some of that vs. Uconn. We got a little bit predictable vs. UAB and FAU.

Like what?  We're 35th ranked offense in the country.  3rd in the aac.   What are we complaining about on the offensive side of the ball?

We're 69th in 3rd down conversion rate. We're 76th in 4th down conversion rate.

Scoring offense is currently 70th.

You open up the playbook and it enables us to keep the ball longer and score more often-thus if a defensive series ends up as a TD we can counteract it better.

The biggest problem with the defense currently is that we've not held a team to a field goal in the red zone in weeks. Getting inside the 20 for the opposing offenses has become an automatic TD.

Open up and execute. Doesn't matter how many plays you run if they're not being run effectively, for whatever reason ...

The biggest problem is a lack of talent relatively speaking on both sides of the ball and yet here we are with as many wins as the past 3 seasons combined and our first real talk of a bowl game in 4.  So we're in the middle of the pack in 3rd down, 4th downs, and scoring to go along with 35th in total and we still have people complaining?   Still asking what do you want him to do?  "open the playbook" is a pretty generic term and he's probably running the plays we can execute to win the games we can

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
