The pace we’re playing with is just a gadget at this point. We can’t execute it well enough or consistently enough to make it be an advantage for us. There may be weeks where we get in a groove and put up points, but we’re not able to replicate it week after week and when we don’t, we’re not near good enough defensively to make up for it. We won’t start winning with any regularity until we can run that paced offense consistently week-in and week-out. That’s gonna take time and MUCH better talent.

Here’s the problem with blaming the “process.” It lets you off the hook as a game planner play caller and as the architect of strategy. The process is a boogeyman. No real answers are being given when real questions are getting asked. The problem isn’t that someone ate chips the day before, thus dooming their chances for a Saturday victory.

Here are a few of the the glaring issues that I see on offense: Ineffective offensive line, lack of setting up the big plays, reliable 5-10 yard dump pass plays or 5 yard slants, lack of creativity and playmakers. I think we could do so much more, even with what we have, but we have to scheme it that way. In a nutshell, I think our Xs and Os is a bigger problem than the process.

100% agree. I’m beginning to feel like he doesn’t know what to do. Same as we heard last year.

Just going back to the comment after the game where CAG voiced disappointment in our team in all three phases of the game.  Offense and defense were bad.   But our special teams play was worse.  We had that leaping penalty, the missed field goal, successful onsides kick for them and gave up a TD on a punt return.  Argh.

I'm missing Battie and Shrader.

Did all that really happen? I left at the half and haven't (and won't) seen the second half.

Did we secretly hire Sterling Gilbert under a new name?

Just canceled the UTSA hotel. Thank goodness we didn’t buy plane tickets.

How many dropped passes?  How many times did the turf tackle our players?  There is plenty of blame to go around.  Let's just see where we go from here.  You guys are turning CAG's 'process' into xCJS's 'culture'.  Both are and were necessary.  They were just easy target words to vent anger.

He is Russian Scott with more confidence.

I'm not even mad at Golesh...we needed a hire with experience.

Kelly needs to be axed.

Just trust the process. Pay no attention to the Jeff Scott behind the curtain.

That was just off the top of my head.  Lots of points resulting from poor special teams play.  I really liked Da Prato when he was here.  Was hoping he would be retained by CAG.

That is one of the newcomer's venues that I would like to visit.  The Alamodome and the River Walk look cool.
