She seemed to be moving along well, slowly, with her recovery. When the original surgeon gave her the okay to get out of her walking boot at the end of June and transition to an ankle brace (and some recommended shoes) we were tremendously excited. He said to go about your lives. But he suggested we make plans to see a foot surgeon. Well, that lasted about 2 days and she started with extreme pain without the boot and using the brace. Thinking it was just muscular and not used to having the support of the boot she continued with her therapy and had some good days and bad days. Unfortunately the bad days were outnumbering the good ones. The foot surgeon's office had called just a few days after we saw the surgeon that did her operations back in January. We figured, what the heck, can't hurt to consult with him. So we saw him on Monday and he explained how totally f'd up her foot is. Had a model of a foot and her x-rays up on the computer and was showing us what it's supposed to look like. She is bone on bone between her shin and ankle and her heel is shifted up and to the left of where it should be. He said surgery was needed but we, obviously, didn't want to hear about that. He gave us some heel lifts to help open that gap between shin and ankle to see if it would give her any relief. We have a CT scan scheduled next week and see him 2 weeks after that. Since she isn't getting much relief with the heel lifts we're probably looking at surgery. We knew all along that this was a possibility as the original surgeon said she could need another operation in 6 - 8 months. We are 6 months out and sure enough. The foot surgeon said this is a major procedure and that the recovery will be exactly the same as what we've just gone through. So 6 - 8 weeks non weight bearing, then to one boot, then the walking boot. Just f our lives right now. USF sports are probably done for most of the calendar year. If all goes well we may be able to get to some WBB late Nov/early Dec. Probably won't get it scheduled until mid Sept. So, forgive me when I get pissy on here and MODS, if you want, just delete this. It was therapy for me just writing it. On a semi-bright note. I did get away for a few nights last week. Friends had invited us to Tahoe for the Celebrity golf tournament. No way my wife could make it so she told me to go while she stayed with our daughter and her family. Didn't lose a lot of money and got to meet some celebs; Marcus Allen, Steph, Charles and some others. Ronde's caddy noticed my Bucs had from the fairway and Ronde waved. Had my pic taken with The Bus. Walked back and chatted with Fitzmagic through Harvey's basement on the way back to Harrah's one night. Mostly all were at least polite. Only d-bag was Aaron Rodgers. Ran into him in an elevator headed down and he and his crew were drunk, crude and pretty much just disgusting. One guy, Thielen, was great with the kids stopping between green and tee to sign autographs and take pics.

Hopefully the new surgery takes care of the issue. I know you will take good care of her. Sending my best wishes and prayers your way. Thanks for the update. At least you got to have a little fun before the surgery.

Only got drunk one night while out in Tahoe. But it was bad enough that my friends called my cell about 10 or 15 minutes after leaving them on the casino floor to make sure I made it to the room. Made have included multiples of all of these. Actually, no martinis but couldn't find a tequila shotglass.
