How about we focus on going to a bowl game this season and then focus on winning the AAC and getting that playoff spot in 2024

Playing teams of our caliber is what we need." At this moment in time, AAU ******* crushes anything a P5 could do for us. Our football team wouldn't/shouldn't be allowed to put a P5 team's jock in the laundry.

Right. No one in this thread has mentioned P5 opponents as a major reason for choosing P5 over AAU.

USF needs to start winning in the AAC before the fans start thinking of the so called power conferences. Experts say academic profiles are a huge criterion when league presidents contemplate expansion. Also posted this in the realignment thread. I anticipated some kind of article from Knight or Baker, but I expected it to say that AAU status won't help USF much in chasing a P5 invite. But here we are - an article expressing some hope for USF. Ain't that something? Edited June 7, 2023 by TallyBull
