I never understood the idea of speeding up a game (especially baseball).  If you just want to see meaningless action, watch the NBA.  If you don't have time for a football game, no one is making you stay.  Leave.  I never once thought the experience of the game was "too long".  And I was in South Bend for the victory (enjoying every minute)!

The pitch clock in baseball doesn't take away from the amount of game being played, just reduces the ridiculous minute between pitches. This would actually result in getting less football....which I do not support.

People today have zero attention spans. We want everything to be quicker. Do we not go to baseball games and football games to enjoy them? I have absolutely zero desire for my college football games to go faster. Hey, I’m really enjoying myself. Let’s speed this up and get it over with??

In theory or in practice?

Unfortunately, it's not for the folks attending the game. They're trying to appease the folks watching from home.

Those people should throw it on the DVR and fast forward as much as they want.  That's pretty simple.

Hmm. i think most of the griping from all fans is the extended TV timeouts/delays that seem never ending.
