If/when this is signed on the dotted line, props to Michael Kelly. This is the best possible hire for our program at this time. Instant credibility for a program that needs it badly.

If his heart is into coaching and the build then this is a great hire.  If he is half hearted and ready for retirement I would want a different dirrection.  What is another 4 years anyway at this point

The guy has a history of success. I find it hard to believe that he's coming into our program to cash a paycheck and ruin that legacy. I'm willing to bet he is re-energized and has us competing very quickly. If it's completed, it's a GREAT hire and Michael Kelly deserves credit.

Must have used his networking from his visits to his daughter, we are truly blessed to reap the benefits of such a connected guy (unless of course you favor wins, not creating dead money contracts and being on the positive side of conference expansion in which case not so lucky). Still it’s nice to see someone getting their target pick, not sure anyone has Grolesh anywhere on their list much less circled.

I like it, don't think we could have done much better. Way better resume than the last couple guys we hired.

Has the clout to recruit well too
