This is by far the best hire we could have made. I was a Capko guy only if we went the Asst. route. This is an A+ move. Kudos to VPMK if true.

I've seen a lot of ND basketball under Mike and he won without top talent. That's the thing that made him the most attractive to me as a candidate. We're not out-recruiting anyone, so we need a guy who can X and O and beat teams that have better talent and lesser coaching (See: Hardaway, Penny). AND he can coach offense - unlike BG. We'll be better and more sound on the offensive end. We won't turn it over like we have and we'll shoot it better because that's what he values in the guys he has on his roster.

We shall see if he grinds his ass off or does what Holtz did and basically half assed it while enjoying Paradise in Florida

No truer words have been spoken. But I will say that I trust Russ Wood 1,000% over Joey or anyone else when it comes to USF hoops news.

Yup, top 100 all time in NCAA winningest coaches. Over 27 years of coaching he averages 21+ wins a season. Best resume of anyone we've ever hired besides Lee Rose
