Think I figured it out. Appears Calleja only got a scholarship for 2021-22, his senior year. Checking that year's roster kind of confirms that. He apparently didn't get one when he came back for this year, his fifth. If that's correct, we don't have a scholarship available right now for 2023-24 ...... but I would be shocked if we don't continue the USF MBB tradition of players bailing.

Makes sense. No doubt we’ll see some other moves. Gotta believe that D.J. Patrick and Jake Boggs are going to be told - “You can stay, but you ain’t gonna play much.”

Or at least early in the conference schedule. Our ooc sched this year wouldn't have been a good measuring stick for turning corners ...

Sure it’s weaker than most, but beating weaker teams would have shown we were reaching potential.  We are only now showing that possibility.   
 

Not talking anout using the non-con opponents to determine how good a team is, but able to put best play forward.

Technically, a college basketball team can turn the corner right before the conference tournament starts, go on an unlikely run to win the conference tournament, get an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament, and win the national championship. Technically...
