Deion is more about his legacy than the money, look at what he's doing at JSU.

He's not gonna move up just to take some struggling P5 job in an area of the country he's not familiar with. He'd take one in Florida that would pretty much be a trial run for FSU and let him come back to the area he grew up.

I think he either stays at JSU or comes to USF.

Agree 100%. If his goal is to get to fsu then we are the perfect”training ground” for him.

Yep the moment FSU loses a couple games and we are winning, they will call him up.

But he doesn't see it that way, we do.  He has no need for South Florida.

Just now, Brad said:

From a recruiting perspective, if fsu is the goal, building the relationships with Fl high schools is a lot easier here than Colorado or Cinci. Yes Deion is probably the only coach that wouldn’t need that type relationship given his “celebrity” status but long term it’s in his favor.

As it’s been said before, money isn’t his motivation, but a challenge and making a name for himself. So that is counterintuitive to Colorado (high money but high challenge) and Cinci (high money but low challenge).

He actually does see it that way. But he also realizes that we are desperate, and other schools will be willing to give him everything he wants while also being great training grounds. When we concede, he will sign. And from what I'm hearing, we're ready to concede.

and next job.

But that one is only possible if he wins, no?

Unless you mean the next job outside of coaching?

Has Deion ever said that FSU is his goal? Honest question.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
