Yes it's a big concern with me...why id prefer I think the James Madison coach.

You hire coaches that work with your strengths.

remember when we hired chuck (defensive coach) when we had a top 10 offense?

In 2020 his defense was 19th best in PPG (ours was 122nd)
In 2021 his defense was 25th best in PPG (ours was 117th)
In 2022 his defense was 89th best in PPG (ours was 130th)
 

1 year of mediocre defense could be explained with injuries, attrition, etc. He has shown to understand complimentary football and has had good defenses more often than he hasn't.
