Maybe they could see the writing on the wall, aka @Outlaw, they just didn't feel the need to say it 8 - 10,000 times.😎

But, maybe they put a few $$$$$$igns behind their respective comments.

On another note, Dan Mullen. Talking with a guy whose sons are named after UF players and follows them on every conceivable site says that Mullen would be terrible at USF.

From someone who doesn't follow UF, Mullen's record doesn't look that bad.  Even his last season that he went 5-6, they lost 4 games by a touchdown or less.  One game was 1 point and the other was by 2.  I'm sure people more close to the program would know better than I.  Probably isn't the worst option.  Not sure if it's even realistic.

I don't see the local take from TBT posted here yet (apologies if it's somewhere on TBP)...

A look at potential candidates — some realistic, some not — to take over the Bulls.

Yea but also near end is a 70 to 52 win vs Samford.

I'd put him on bottom of list I think better coaches exist.

So... for those suggesting Tom Herman ... here is why he was fired at Texas:

Texas and Chris Del Conte finally decided it was time to let go of Tom Herman. Rumblings of him being fired began when the Longhorns lost back-to-back games...

Frank Reich is available . . .  😉

The Colts have fired head coach Frank Reich after 3-5-1 start to 2022 season. It's the third major move in as many weeks for a struggling Indy squad that came into the...

We should save some money by having no coach. Coach just by letting people on this forum vote on decisions in a poll.

Every week we auction off the right to be the person standing on the sideline reading out the decisions made by this poll.

Let interns recruit.

This set up would likely perform better than Scott Jeff did

We wasted a year and more money because he was extended instead of let go after last season. Now onto the next guy who has to dig usf further out of the trenches of fbs football.

Stopped reading here:

When Tom Herman took over for Charlie Strong, the program was at an all-time low. The Longhorns were coming off their third straight seven-loss season and a loss to Kansas. To credit Herman, he built the program back up to having a consistent winning record.

If he's willing to tackle this, go get him ...

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

"For me, I never considered it that way (as a stepping stone), honestly. When I was offered the head job at South Florida, and I'm sincere about this, I never thought I would ever go anywhere."
