I read in another thread that VPMK does not comment on coaches during the season - he may not be able to continue this policy much longer

There is an odds on chance that we will be 1-7 by month’s end, ensuring our 4th straight losing season and an 8-40 record since Chuckles smoke and mirrors start in 2018

2 options:

1) He comes out in support of CJS, stating how bright the future is - I am sure Scott would appreciate the vote of confidence and air cover

2) He comes out with a more generic, we met and have discussed the current direction of the program.  This would be open ended enough not to be derogatory of the coach, while still acknowledging that things may not be so sunny in Tamplona and the mob is starting to mass at the gates

A lot of times the vote of confidence is the kiss of death though.  Everyone knows the situation so I don't think there is any need to have some grand public gesture about it anyway.

I'm frustrated too but I'm not sure what he could say to help. His cavalier attitude about the product on the field is as much of the problem as anything else. Platitudes would just rub salt in it right now. I want to see some action if we can't put together 3+ wins and start looking like an FBS team.

Trust me anyone who even watches football knows what's going on after watching the last two games.  It goes without saying.

It is beyond belief that VPMK continues to support this dumpster fire.

USF appears to be the only University in College Football that supports such a losing culture and does not take necessary steps to improve.

I used to be one of football's biggest fans, but now it is simply unwatchable.

So hiring a new head coach, changing coordinators, investing in facilities at an exponential rate is not taking the necessary steps?  Or are you just saying that in hindsight the necessary steps they took just haven't worked out up to this point on 10/03 and they need to reassess which I am sure they are currently doing?

A coach with a winning record fired after ONLY TWO bad losses.

Defensive coordinator Jim Leonhard will take over as the interim head coach after Paul Chryst was fired five games into the 2022 season.

He is busy preparing the next extension for all of our coaches. Dumbest thing I have ever seen in my life was giving an extension to Jeff Scott after 1 FBS win. I did not support firing him, but an extension was absolutely ridiculous.

Colorado coach was fired too with a record of 8-15

Coach Scott is 1-22 against FBS opponents
