Coaching aside, I think we've covered that; how do we attack on offense to keep it close and do we stop with zone and man-to-man and go to a shell and go bed downt break and rely on our LBs, our strength

I'm not sure how you game plan with our defensive backs. I'm sure there is something you can do when your DBs get burned often but I'm not sure what that is.

1. The offense needs to be more successful in the first half.  Too many three-and-outs... not enough 3rd down conversions.  Get some drives going.

2. The defense needs to be a ton more aggressive.  Cover 0.  Zone blitzes.  Bring the pressure.

It will be a big help if the four defensive starters are able to make it back into the game.

Run the ball and win time of possession. We have to keep them off the field as much as possible. Our defense needs the starters back or we are in deep trouble.

Catching footballs would help.

Holding on to the ball at critical times wouldn't hurt either .....

So we have tried several things on offense - IMO, just put the ball in GB’s hands and let him call the plays from the huddle (how much worse could that be in the first half?)

Doing that, we may even get a first down earlier than the fifth offensive series

I'm not even joking when I say just let them go out and play. It honestly can't be worse than 41 to 7 at halftime against ECU. Ask them what they liked to run in HS and let em go.

LEt them try it and if the result is worse then 41-7 then ask the coaches to win the second half so the players believe in them.
