From the Shooper himself:

"If you look at our keys to victory this week, the first three are Start Fast, Start Faster and Start Fastest,'' defensive coordinator Bob Shoop said. "I think we have played against some really good quarterbacks so far and some top-50 offenses. This week is the same thing. But it's no excuse.

 

I hope the keys are actually a little more well-defined than that...that sounds authentic frontier gibberish.

They played  much better but still not good enough to win. If they turn a corner and win next week there is progress. I will say good job today for playing better while starting out strong but a loss is still not progress. This brings us back to where we were at after the UF game. This can be used as a learning experience to win or just another loss. I hope it is the former. Go Bulls. Gerry, Weaver, and Battie all  had a great game today against a good defense. The defense stepped up.
