Without Houston, that is a very bad basketball conference.

I really hope so. The last few years have been rough.

He has been high on USF hoops before I believe during the Stan Heath days. Hopefully he is right.

There are a lot of excited twitterites about this.  It's kind of funny how "pumped" a preseason basketball prediction can get us, especially when the football ones are all wrong!!!

I wouldn't bet a cent on a 6th place finish.

listened to his podcast today, not much more info than the article:

"I love what this team did in the transfer portal. Got a good player from Memphis in Tyler Harris, got a good player from Kansas State in Selton Miguel, and a very underrated piece in Keyshawn Bryant from South Carolina. That is my preseason sleeper in the AAC."

Have we ever had guys who performed at power conferences this much transfer in for bball? Russ and Walker on the current roster we're P5 transfers but never really got much playing time

Miguel started 36 Big 12 games the last 2 years, which produced the national champion both years

Keyshawn has started 72 SEC games

Tyler Harris has started 11 Big 12 games and 18 AAC games

After giving this more thought I am disappointed we are not rated even higher. We are a sleeping giant that should be a bubble team at the very least or making a very deep run in the dance.  I have high expectations and look forward to us bringing home the hardware in either the regular season or conference tourney.  #Go Bulls!

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
