Not happy with another losing season any more than not happy with you continuing to make the same repetitious disparaging comments like CJS will use two two Coordinators as an excuse.   It's just old and unnecessary at this point.

It was my first time saying that we have two coordinators and could use that to try to buy him more time. At some point coach talk and excuses year 0 for covid is useless. Coaches need to be evaluated on their results on the field. Let's hope this transfer/recruiting class, new DC hire, and whoever he finds for the OC turns this around asap. I want cjs to succeed.

That is how Leavitt was able to achieve success... taking players who were marginal students ... but things have changed.... the NCAA requires better high school grades these days (hence why some players head to JuCo)... and he APR penalties can be harsh.  USF was on the verge of losing scholarships in Leavitt's last couple of years, when the university created an academic committee that had to approve any scholarship OFFER .... the committee was held over during the Holtz New Era, and was at least part of the challenge for Holtz (on top of his overall lack of, you know, actually recruiting instead of golfing).

Baylor doesn't have marginal players either... they just have more resources.  For example, the Baylor University endowment is $1.85 billion -- THREE TIMES what USF has.

excuses for failure

usf is in an ocean of the most talented players in the country

usf plays in an nfl stadium in a great city

i think scott will get it done.If not someone else will

Just for argument's sake. How many different programs have won national championships in football in the last 20 years where there are about 129 teams playing?  Same question in MBB where there are 300+ teams playing?  We aren't the only ones that don't win.

Nobody here expects us to win a National Championship, just expecting this team to compete for a conference championship every now and then.  But I guess 75 seasons  of no MBB or FB conference titles with the exception of one MBB conference tournament title 30 years ago is ok?

How did you make that leap based on what CR said?

Pretty much has to be okay, doesn't it? Can't change it.

How in the hell did you interpret what he said?  He basically said in the end there is only one winner so the rest of the teams are losers like us.

I guess, in the end we all die so what is the point anyways.

You can win conference titles without winning the National Championship, but you knew that.  He wasn't condoning our lack of success in that regard.
