We have, but they are all super young and have limited playing experience. Also only 2 of them are 300Ibs.  We technically still have the size issue we've had for the past few years for our DTs.

You make those depth charts so I'm assuming you've done some research into these guys. Could you rank these players?

Clyde Pinder (2022)

Rashad Cheney (2022)

Nick Bags (2022)

Langston Murray (2022)

Thad Mangum (2021)

Blake Green (2021)

Kevin Kegler (2021)

I have a good feeling about our edge rushers next year but curious how much our DT's have actually improved

Yeah they are, I'm trying to get an idea of how the new guys are compared to the guys we had last year

The two p5 transfers are young and were ranked better than them as freshmen.  Bags looks big and mean. He did decent for a freshmen at Temple and they seemed upset he left.

My ranking order is based off of the player's experience.

  1. Langston Murray (2022) - Most experience and from videos I saw, he has  WAAAAY more speed than I thought he would have. Buddy has chubby cheeks which made him seem like a "fat boy", but his body type was pretty solid.
  2. Thad Mangum (2021) - To me he was a good player but not a star. He would have been a great compliment to a star D-Lineman, but he didn't work out as  our "main guy". He also lacked speed.
  3. Nick Bags (2022) - Th Temple fans and media really spoke highly of him. He was supposedly their future star.
  4. Clyde Pinder (2022) - I like but no body of work
  5. Rashad Cheney (2022) - I like but no body of work
  6. Blake Green (2021) - Lacked the speed & size, but was decent.
  7. Kevin Kegler and Kelvin Pickney were HUGE DISAPPOINTMENTS.

Conclusion:

I feel we upgrade based off of the fact that the additions were highly recruited players and have at least 2 years in a college  conditioning program.

I dont understand this team's lack of faith in Chris Carter. Great speed, size, good hands, yet they get a transfer every year. Oh well, the more talent the better.

I didnt think we had a chance, but looking at who's following him, why not 🤷‍♂️

My updated NT/DT transfer portal wish list

1. Jordan "Forklift" Redmond (Virginia) - My personal favorite just because of the nickname. A nickname like that has 2 be earned which means buddy is pretty strong.

Jordan Redmond is a 6-1, 300-pound Defensive Tackle from Kissimmee, FL.

2. Langston Murray (New Mexico) - OFFERED (Best bet)

Langston Murray is a 6-1, 305-pound Defensive Tackle from Logansport, LA.

3. Almosse Titi (Maryland) -

Almosse Titi is a 300-pound Defensive Tackle from Tampa, FL

4. Kristian Williamz (Oregon) - No word on an offer, but is followed by a handful of USF coaches.

Kristian Williams is a 6-3, 300-pound Defensive Tackle from Memphis, TN.

5. Olivier Charles-Pierre (Houston) - Not sure if he wants 2 go 2 another AAC team, but he definetly has the size we need for goal line/3rd & 4th down battles.

Olivier Charles-Pierre is a 6-1, 340-pound Defensive Tackle from Roswell, NM
