New defensive coordinator is down to 4 names

No issues any but Shoops.  If the players responded to Sims give him a shot, but CJS better know this year will define his coaching career. He can't afford another losing season. If Sims called the shots for the UCF game, I think he earned a shot. I do like bringing in former alumni/player in Danny V, but I don't know if he will be successful or not. FCS is a whole different ball game, but it seems to be place CJS is most successful at at this point 2-0 against FCS teams! Shoops is another retread dinosaur, not sure why he is on the list. Daddy must have whispered his name to CJS. Rowe is young and could be a boom or bust. I would be fine with Sims, Danny , or Rowe. They all seem young and hungry.

we will have another losing season next year

if scott doesnt recruit talent he is done

I am not excited about anyone on this list.  I like the USF flare to the names but the experience at this level has me a little scared.

Shoop has been a defensive coordinator at the P5 level at Mississippi St, Tennessee, Penn St, and Vandy. In 2018 he was nominated for the Broyles Award (given to the top assistant in college football)... and with Miami changing coaches, Shoop will be out of a job.
