You honestly think this team can win 4 out of the next 5, with us having 0% chance of beating Cincy?

May have to use a similar game plan this week. Thursday night in Greenville looks like a 90+% chance of rain all night. Weather in the 50s too.

id think this is advantage us, makes it harder for them to take advantage of our secondary.

I agree. The Tulsa game would have kept the dream alive. I saw us as a 4-8 team to start the year and I still see us as a 4-8 team. This one is going to be a tough one. ECU is much better and should have beaten South Carolina and UCF. We should be 3-4 right now and they should be 4-3 or 5-2. We can win this game, but a short week on the road is a tall order with even a more experienced team. I think the key to the game has been highlighted, establish the run early, get the defense a lead, and control the tempo of the game. For what it's worth, ESPN's FPI gives us a 30% chance of winning this one. The opening line of +6 was in line with our 30% odds (33.6%). The line moving to +9.5 suggests only a 24.5% chance of victory. I am not a big sports better, but I would tease that up to +10 and go with the Bulls in this one.

Yeah ECU has been putting up fights all year. A close one AT Houston, and now a beatable USF team at home. On national TV.

I don't have warm and fuzzies about this one.

Hopefully.....It goes a lot better than the previous trip to NC this season. I give it a 50-50 chance. we are going to need to beat-up on their big old QB. We hit him a lot a few years ago and it really affected his playing. Unleash the D ends on him. Take a couple roughing early on set the tone for the beating he is in for...

More than likely we will be out by then. If we had beaten Tulsa I would agree with your statement.

One game at a time though, so maybe they come out on fire Thursday.

Neat:

At 49th nationally, USF's rushing attack grinds out 183.1 yards per game, while the Pirates' run defense surrenders 143.7 yards and ranks 57th.
