Isn't the QB the son of their announcer or radio guy?

Yep

I was at 4 of those 5 games in Greenville. The fans are amazingly nice. One year (or maybe two) we had to brave a monsoon to watch the Bulls win. I feel slightly bad for ECU because eastern N.C. was my original home area before we moved to Florida in '82. I have no idea how Thursday will go, but if USF's defense can prevent the long TD passes (or if our offense can hold the ball 3/4 of the game again) then 6 - 0 in Greenville should happen. 🙂

We were at that monsoon game too

My memories of games at ECU are pretty fun. The first two games they made the mistake of having us as their Homecoming game. There was a really fun Alumni Tailgate function that Lee Roy Selmon attended - where I got this picture with him.

The next year (2003) we took some pictures with Lee Roy & Matt Harbert (@BULLheaded)outside of the stadium after the game after a tight 38-37 win in OT ... 200_0011.thumb.jpg.beb889dc9dfe7fbba944990e048f13b6.jpg

One of the few true road games I decided to venture to.  The entire experience was weird.  Some of their fans were ok but a lot were outright rude. The glares at the restaurant we went to at breakfast could have cut through steel.   I seem to remember having to step in front of some of their inhospitable fans who were trying to intimidate the towel guys on the way in. Later in the game in the stands a lot of them  surrounded my wife and were yelling rude comments at her when I made the mistake of leaving her to go to the restroom.  As I was breaking them up, one USF fan took notice and let me in on something which I as unaware of.  They were absolutely miffed that USF was getting into the Big East and they were not.  So, he started chanting "Big East, Big East" everytime they started up again. All that did was make me laugh and make them more angry. I just told them they needed to focus on the field and not worry about me and my wife.

Their fans hate their QB

In my limited viewing is seems  when he is on, he is actually pretty good.  I think he gets in trouble when he tries to do too much.

That game was maddening enough watching on TV, I applaud your effort sitting in that.

USF dominated on the lines the entire game but was losing until Flowers hit Adams on that long pass. Finally!

I believe that game made us bowl eligible for the first time in four years.

No...the win that made us bowl eligible that year was the Temple win.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
