Isn't CUSA getting paid like $700K a year? If the AAC wanted to take a CUSA team (assuming we still have a $7M a year payout), it wouldn't be that cost prohibitive to buy out $3.5-4.2M in GOR

Ugh please no to the 11 aac teams. There's only 3-5 aac teams at most that aren't a complete embarrassment to be associated with. Need to get out of this **** hole conference ASAP.

agreed only way a merger works for me. Is take the 4PAC 4-6 from AAC and MWC. Get the best of the rest and put em all together.

But what if we are not in that 4-6 from the AAC?  At this point, I think our answer to almost anything that links us to any of the Pac 4 is "Yes please."

In theory. But look at the current CUSA lineup. Not very exciting. If the AAC has to raid from there, it means they just got raided themselves. Aresco somehow hung onto the $7M per team per year deal after losing UConn, Cincy, UCF, and Houston. If the AAC loses another 4, say SMU, USF, Tulane, and Memphis or Rice, I can't see the $7M still holding. What's left should still be higher than CUSA but now you may be down to like $2M to $3M a year at best.

if its the PAC 4, yes. If its the PAC 2 with CAl and Stanford to the ACC, I may cool my jets.

How many were we allowed before then?

Have to go back and look as I am not sure how many we took prior to entering the Big East.

Anthony Henry is a good example of a partial qualifier who was able to get his degree in the required time period.

@Mike Stuben may remember this, but I believe our academic support staff was pretty close to 100% in having partial qualifiers graduate on time.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
