I'll be honest, the allure to me of remaining AAC and absorbing the Pac-4 is that we have a deal with ESPN, where I have to pay very little extra to watch our games most weeks. I have Apple TV, but I have zero interest in having to pay another separate subscription to watch our games on there.

No ****, I thought ESPN would be looking for west coast time zone games and this would line up nicely. Maybe this is part of ESPN's cost cutting, though ....... but **** that. Jettison some "talent" like those buffoons Berman, Melrose, et al, instead.

Remember, the source of this info (MHver3) is... questionable. He could just as easily say tomorrow that this option was considered, but that they decided against it, and we would be none the wiser that this was totally fabricated info to make him look like he knows things. So yeah, grain of salt and all that...

Wonder how all of this is going to impact basketball? Listening to the talking heads this morning and they floated the idea that the NCAA/TBS agreement - which expires in 2032 - might look like the HAVES running their own tournament and leaving everyone else to deal with the NCAA. Don't particularly like that, given that the first couple of days are the most entertaining.

FSU’s strategy, such as it was, may have failed. Always thought it was a play for leverage. Anyways, this should put the Stanford/Cal to ACC rumors to rest.

If this 4 PAC/AAC deal really has legs is it a good thing?  The UCF, Cinci, Houston exits fees were settled at $18M,  the added travel is gonna cost a **** pot of money,  and at best the streaming only deal provides no network TV exposure and at best is projected to pay $15M.   How does this make any sense????

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
