If the American somehow survives and outlasts the ACC, Here is where I have questions.

1. Will we be able to add ACC school once the ACC implodes?

2. Will that addition add value to the conference that is enough to increase the per school allotment?

I feel like we would have to get rid of some of the bottom end school. How many members are we at now in the AAC? At some point these additions have to make the conference unwieldy.

USF with the biggest enrollment I think...it's hard to read.  Only 5 AAU.  Another plus for us.

I would be EXCEPTIONALLY careful bandying about those terms. If we use the poll from AAC media day (July 25th, 2023) here's where teams rank. Now, exactly which BOTTOM schools did you have in mind? There's a mirror in the bathroom down the hall...

I would forgive him for that one. If you've ever had the misfortune of spending any time in the NC version of Greenville, you will wish you were in SC.

Greenville SC > Greenville NC for sure.

If they rebuilt, this is what I’d like to see.

West.                  East

California.                       South Florida

Oregon st.                       Memphis

Washington st.               East Carolina

Stanford.                         Navy

SMU.                                Temple

Rice.                                Tulane

UTSA.                              UCONN

Tulsa.                               UAB

That's really good for you.  I have struggled to name all the teams in the AAC when asked.  No way I could name 100+ FBS schools.  But then, I'm not a CFB fan...that's the point here.  I don't watch football outside of USF Football with one exception and that is Arizona State football with my ASU grad son.

Actually to me, the point of all this is should be, for better or worse, Charlotte was invited to USF's conference almost two years ago and to not have even heard of them until weeks before the season starts just doesn't seem very USF fan like ...... of course some of you will take that as a badge of honor.

Imagine the gain to our expansion candidacy if we could somehow spend the next couple of years sharing a conference with Stanford. They will bolt to the BIG the minute an invitation comes through.  And I expect it to happen eventually.  Again, dreaming here.

Wow, a lot of work went into that and is **** interesting ....... hoping, though, that they're not listed on some type of a sliding scale.

That's my hope too.  We are an outlier on that listing.  However, we check a lot of boxes too.

Interesting line to review -- 2022 Average Attendance.   USF is listed at 28k... and it's higher than EVERYONE ELSE except Cal and Fresno State.  Higher than Stanford, Oregon State, and Wazzu.
