"There's something I've learned about membership -- don't trust anyone," Mike Tranghese, who was the Big East commissioner from 1990 to 2009 and was a part of several of these battles, told ESPN about realignment in general. "Everyone is going to do what they think is in their best interest. Everyone is going to do what they think they have to do to position their schools. That's the world college athletics has been living in for a long time."

Well shucks, does that constitute news? We all - every one of us - does what's best for us. Bidness is bidness, we went over this the first day of class. There's no altruistic behavior where competing for entertainment dollars is concerned. I'm sure that "locked in for a hundred years" deal sounded real good at the time. However, that's why we keep attorneys on retainer:  we might need to get out of this fix. Yes, indeedy, boyz n girlz, position yourself for the next opportunity. 'Cause that's all you can really do. 🙄

Just got to win while we are in AAC and become a perennial playoff team.

We're a homecoming visitor in football right now. We got curb-stomped by a bad NE baseball team. And we're not exactly circled on anyone's calendar in MBB. Baby steps.

Watched it twice. Are you somewhere in Mike A's group?  Or were you in one of the shots of the stands?

To the left... Near the end... That was when I got back last year.... Before I headed back to Ukraine...

That was after Bucha, Irpin, and Kharkiv

If we can kick into high gear next year, we might move to bottle feeding.

The way I see it playing out.

Big 12, ACC, and Pac will lose more teams to SEC and Big 10 at some point. It could be next year, or 10 years from now. After that happens Big 12, ACC, and Pac will fight it out among themselves for supremacy to see who becomes the third best conference. They will try to raid each other.  I doubt however that any of these conferences will dissolve completely, and when the dust settles if we win we will have a shot at joining the fourth or fifth ranked conference. Whichever conference it is it will look completely different as to how it looks today.

If the Pac 12 can't secure a good media contract; the Big 10 and the Big 12 will absolutely raid them.

While I understand and agree with the sentiment, Northeastern isn’t a bad team at all this year.
