Nobody can ever say that you are not efficient with your time, at your age every last minute counts 😀

Used to love baseball but 3.5 hour games are intolerable.

I did too, lack of a salary cap did it in for me, either way I have seen plenty of games at the Trop but haven’t in years and don’t miss it one bit.

Baseball is one of the most strategic sports in the world. It make people think and very addictive once you get hooked. I don’t care what anyone says about how boring it can be. They just never understood the true strategy of the game. With that said, Go Rays!!

I played it for years, followed it religiously for years, understand it at a high level.  Just got tired of the disparity between the teams payrolls. Either way I am sure you will have plenty of room to move around this weekend at the mausoleum aka the Trop.

So if the playoffs expand and all conference winners get a ticket to the dance, do we still want to be in the B12 or ACC?

Assuming the program finishes the long, slow turnaround, would we be cool with staying in the American if it meant the conference champ made the playoffs? It would make the "irrelevant" games against Tulsa or ECU much more fun if the chance to make the playoffs were on the line. (and then we'd have to pray for mercy against 'Bama or Ohio State)

The 12 team model that was proposed initially, did not include all conference winners. I believe the proposal was to invite the top 5, or 6, conference champions based on final ranking.

During the season that was played when the model was proposed, Cincinnati and Coastal Carolina would have made the playoff and the PAC 12 Champion (I believe it was Oregon) would have been left out.

If this happens, we could see the AAC become like the mid majors in basketball.   A program like Gonzaga or Villanova in Basketball is 20x smaller than Kansas, Bama, etc. but pulls in players because they know they will have a line to the postseason and the exposure that it brings.   Selling USF to a local kid over Mid to low level Big 10 or SEC schools becomes a lot easier when you have the facilities and an easier path to the postseason every year.  Realistically a player could get more national exposure in an extended playoff scenario with a G5 school than he would playing at the Vandy's/Minnesota/Missouri's out there.

I think ACC would be great no matter what.

This is where things actually broke down this past summer.  Some conferences wanted guaranteed spots for Top 6... others just wanted to Top 12 regardless of champions.

Lol fair enough. Yeah can’t wait until the Rays get that news retractable roof stadium either built near Ybor or casino.
