Never ever it’s sad that the stupid marketing ploy actually caused hope for some people. There is a better chance of college football disappearing than the p5 welcoming anyone else to their party.

And that is our best shot.  I think the perfect scenario is 4 - 16 team "super" conferences with the season culminating in an 8 team playoff.

One step further, break D1 into multiple levels and multiple championships.

The first option sounds pretty solid, the second option sounds horrible.

There is more than 64 teams in D1.  IF you go with option 1 alone, then there are still a bunch of teams left out of the mix.

It's the multiple levels thing that threw me. I'd hate to see under-championships, just keep CCs and a wider playoff and I'd be happy.

There are currently 65 p5 teams. In the p4 scenario, which 5 teams are not going to fight being eliminated so that 4 of us g5 can get a seat?  I just don’t see it happening.

Realignment will move where the money is... It's moving away from cable subscribers an more towards individual schools and the fan bases they can bring.

Long-term, I see distributors like Google, Amazon, Netflix even ESPN and others charging two hundred dollars a season to watch our games. bigger fan bases will pull in more revenue, and schools like Rutgers lose even more value to a conference.

My opinion, but changes are coming, and that can only mean more opportunity for USF.

I would rather be USF than Iowa State long-term...
