This is going to be emotional decision not a strategic one. There will be no "shocking" anyone. They are going to pick Cinci and Houston. It seems like a done deal at this point.

ESPN is a joke. Nothing more than Enhanced Social Propaganda Network. The broadcasts and shows consist of nothing more than repeated soap opera dreck (ad nauseum),hypothetical questions, over-the-top exaggeration and phony exuberance. Sports talk radio and local news (tv) all follow the same script. It's all a joke. Edited August 24, 2016 by ahoyboy 2

The Big XII doesn't want to go through the whining of an island school again. They also would prefer full members. That would seem to leave BYU out. Houston is a market they already have, (Even if they aren't the primary player in it). So I'd guess they'd take; Cincinnati, UConn, USF and UCF. This also sets them up for a future network.

I think you're letting your heart and logic get in the way. My personal opinion of the "pecking order" based on hundreds of hours evaluating this subject are as follows: #1 Cincy, #2 Houston, #3 BYU, #4 UConn, #5,6,7 Memphis, USF, UCF (any order)

Olympic sports could not handle the travel to UCONN. It would be a nightmare.
