serious question: who is this guy? Is he actually in the know somehow or just some guy screwing around on Twitter? Who "told" him this?

Well established rumor-monger, whose rumors rarely come true but entertain us in this here board.

He lives in his momma's basement, his room smells of cheese and all his vintage Star Wars action figures are still in there original wrappers. Some say his tinhat is made from Reynolds wrap or believe it's made from old hotdog wrappers... One really knows. All we do know is that he is full of **** and gets less right then Nostradamus.

Adding 6 teams would be a really bold move.

Seems like Memphis doesnt feel too confident either.  One minute you think you are on top with good press and the next you think you are on the outside looking. Anything goes.

No, of course not.  I am just preparing y'all to be in the Sun Belt.  Accept it.  Support it.  Maybe even come to like it in time.  But USF will never play big time football again, if left behind.  USF will become South Alabama, or Troy, or Louisiana Tech to the college football world.  That doesn't mean we can't have fun supporting USF, and maybe even have good teams in our new Sun Belt level conference, but the last ship is setting sail soon, and as of right now, USF doesn't have a ride.  That is all.

As grim as this is.. you're not wrong

Not buying it. It may take a while but they will expand and reshuffle again. Capitalism demands that you make more money and staying stagnant won't bring in the big bucks.

The ACC just extended their GOR another 20 years.  B12 wants to extend their GOR another 10 years to keep UT and Okl from bolting.  Nobody is leaving the SEC.  B1G only takes AAU members.  The B12 has repeatedly said there are no teams that on their own, that add any value.

In 20 years or so when these GORs begin to expire there will be reshuffling, but only between existing P5 schools.  The gap between G5 and P5 will have grown so wide over the 20 years that nobody could keep up.  P5 teams won't be playing G5 teams much longer either.

It really sucks for the 5 or so schools that will be left out that are legit P5 candidates (and I would give Trip's left nut not to be one of the leftovers).  I think those 5 will be UConn, USF, UCF, ECU, and Temple.  The B12 is going to gut the AAC.  The dollar is destroying amatuer athletics.
